Station F

Financed by Xavier Niel and directed by Roxanne Varza, Station F is the world’s business incubator for startups, gathering a whole entrepreneurial ecosystem under one roof.

Xavier Niel spent $267 million (€250 million) on the project. Xavier Niel founded telecom company Free and has a bunch of startup-related projects as well, such as Kima Ventures, an early stage investment company, and the free coding school 42.

Situated in a former rail freight depot located in 13th arrondissement of Paris – a historical monument built in 1929 previously known as la Halle Freyssinet (thereof the « F » in Station F) – the 366,000ft2 or 34,000 m2 facility was formally opened by President Emmanuel Macron in June 2017 and provides office accommodation for up to 1,000 start-up and early stage businesses as well as for corporate partners.
